These earring pendants were acquired by the Museum with a matching necklace in 1901. Although they were described as 17th century French at the time, it is more likely that they are 19th century in date.

Brief description
Pair of gold filigree girandole pendants for earrings with mother-of-pearl drops, possibly Italy, 1750-1850.
Physical description
Pair of earring pendants each made from gold filigree decorated with flower-shaped appliqués of stamped sheet gold surrounding a bow of mother-of-pearl. There are three flat mother-of-pearl drops hanging from its lower edge.
Summary
These earring pendants were acquired by the Museum with a matching necklace in 1901. Although they were described as 17th century French at the time, it is more likely that they are 19th century in date.
