Pendent gold cross, pierced in an openwork pattern, set with rubies and emeralds in closed mounts. The cross is lozenge-shaped with a ruby at the end of each of the arms, and in the angles between the arms. There is a smaller cross, made of six emeralds, superimposed over the centre of the cross. The central emerald, over the place where the arms cross, is set in a higher mount which is riveted to the body of the cross. There is a loop for suspension, cast in one with the rest of the cross and with a ruby set on its front, at the top of the cross. On the back the details of the design are highlighted with delicate engraving.
