Object history
This poster is one of several that were produced to advertise the play on tour - see also S.523 to S.525-1995. This poster includes the caption, 'A European Sensation Caused by the Appearance of a Messenger from Mars' Details of venue would have been added later. Associated Production: A Message From Mars. Playwright: Richard Ganthony. Mr Morrell''s Company, Mr Mouillot's Company. ca. 1900. Performance category: drama. Production type: tour. The original production of this play was at The Avenue Theatre (22.1.1899) which is why the touring posters are filed in the Avenue file.
