Poster advertising Ben Jonson's play Bartholomew Fair, Marlowe Dramatic Society at the Arts Theatre, Cambridge, 1977.

Griff Rhys Jones’s production for Cambridge’s Marlowe Dramatic Society boasted a 40-strong cast and exuberantly evoked the bawdy, bustling world of Jonson’s 1614 city comedy. The RSPCA was misled into believing that live pigs would appear on stage and intervened, giving the show useful publicity – the authorities had been provoked in a case of life mirroring art.
