Brief description
Panel of calligraphy in ink on paper with illumination in opaque water colour and gold, pasted onto a page within borders of flowering plants painted in gold on indigo-dyed paper. The calligraphy is probably Iran, 16th century; the page is from an imperial Mughal album of the reign of Jahangir (r. 1605-1627).
