Greetings Card

2007 (designed), 2007 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Jill Ritblat collaborates with graphic designer Mike Dempsey each year to devise her seasonal card to friends and contacts. Their 2007 creation featuring a photograph by Jill Ritblat - apparently shot from the air - records the effect of climate change on the alpine scenery enjoyed by the card's jet-setting recipients. The caption 'Keep it deep and crisp and even.' plays on a line from the traditional Christmas carol Good King Wenceslaus, 'When the snow lay round about, deep and crisp and even.'
