Figure of a shepherd and shepherdess in bone china painted in enamels and gilded. He stands with his right hand on his hip, the other being broken at the wrist. He wears a dark purple coat with lighter purple lining, vertically-striped knee-breeches and horizontally-striped waistcoat. A dog is at his right hand side.She stands upright in a wide-brimmed hat, a dark blue bodice over a white blouse, and a flowered skirt. She is placing a garland of flowers round the neck of the lamb at her left hand side. Both are supported on circular bases formed as a grassy mounds with rococo scrollowork, from which emerge clumps of 'bocage.'
