This pendant-brooch bears the mark of an unknown maker who was presumably an outworker employed by the Froment-Meurice firm. Shown by François-Désiré Froment-Meurice's widow at the Paris Universal Exhibition, 1855, from where it was purchased by the Museum.

Enamelled gold brooch, set with a brilliant-cut diamond, garnets, emeralds, rubies and an amethyst drop. Hung with green glass beads and pearls. Maker's mark 'A & A... [sic]' and Paris warranty mark for 1847 onwards.
