The front sheet features a series of illustrations showing the actions that the wife takes to save money. Each colour lithograph shows a woman dressed in a pale blue and red spotted skirt, patched and dirt. She wears a white blouse and apron and her hair is fastened up with a clothes peg. The largest illustration is of a gentleman, with his left arm outstretched. He is dressed in dark trousers, a brown checked waistcoat, pale red waistcoat and bowtie. A bowler hat and a wooden cane complete his outfit.

The back sheet is printed with a list of Francis, Day & Hunter's 'Specialities', its inner cover is printed with the lyrics for the song.
