Outer cover of the sheet music for If I hadn't ha' been so shy written and composed by T.W. Connor and published by Francis, Day & Hunter. The song was sung by George Beauchamp and the front sheet featured an illustrated of him as Widow Twanky. This sheet is covered in a pale red wash. At its centre is an illustration of a Beauchamp dressed in a Japanese inspired costume of a wide sleeved silk tunic over loose trousers which finish just above the ankle. On top of a black wig he wears a hat with a long, white veil at the rear.
The back sheet is printed with a list of Francis, Day & Hunter's 'Successful Dance Novelties', its inner cover is printed with the lyrics for the song.
