This Christan Dior necklace is a sumptuous and eye-catching example of late 1990s costume jewellery. Inspired by historical forms from both the late 18th century and the early 20th century, it illustrates the romanticism of the fashion house of Dior under the leadership of the British designer John Galliano.

Physical description
Tall, close-fitting collar of silver-coated lace flowers, linked between five curved vertical ribs of imitation diamonds, with a central pear-shaped drop. At the front two garlands of laurel descend, with further lace elements. Throughout are scattered bright brownish green glass drops and cabochons.
