Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This anonymous design showing a peacock perched on a tree with gigantic flowers is for a cusion cover and dates from about 1900-1950. It was drawn onto a textile, possibly cotton, that has been treated with a shiny coat. The textile support gives it strength and it could have been reused many times. That it was used is clear from the pinholes around the edges and on the surface.
