Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Beaker, part of a five-piece garniture with two beakers and three vases and lids. Of slender cylindrical shape spreading slightly towards the foot and more sharply towards the mouth; recessed base. Framed in underglaze blue scrollwork on either side below a frieze of intricately diapered design on the shoulder are upright panels with scenes of figures with buildings and landscape in background, the scenes largely repeating, in a palette of heavy enamels with much iron-red, on a ground of red trefoil cell diaper.
