She wears a an ornate, empire line dress with puff sleeves and a wide neckline trimmed with gathered fabric and a series of circular brooches. Her left arm is held in the air whilst her right is poised by the side of her ornate skirt which is embroidered with stars and foliage and has a flounced hem. She wears a headress made from feathers and light ballet slippers.
Cendrillon (Cinderella) is a ballet in four acts, choreographed by François Decombe Albert. It is the first known ballet based on Perrault's original tale, and premiered at the Kings Theatre, London in 1822. Harry Beard Collection.
