This poster advertises a turn of the century theatrical production of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Carroll first wrote Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in 1865. Typical of many theatre posters of the time, this one was produced using the colour-printing technique of chromolithography. Passers-by were more likely to be attracted by the full colour posters.
