No to War!

Poster
1970 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This poster is a typical example of 1970s Soviet propaganda, taking as its subject the Cold War arms race. The USSR here aligns itself with the countries of the Socialist bloc as pacifist states, directly opposed to the perceived militaristic North American and European nations that formed the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO).
One of the crucial issues of Soviet Union geopolitics was opposing NATO's placement of Pershing rockets in strategically important areas.
