BMW CAR WHEEL TRIM
German, 1991
Designed in 1983 for the 3 Series model. In 1991 it was used on the 5 and 7 Series. The badge in the centre, registered in 1917, is intended to represent a spinning aircraft propeller (BMW also made aeroplane engines), although it could be seen as a quartered heraldic shield.
