Painting of Miss Ellen Terry and Mr. Henry Irving as they appeared in the roles of Beatrice and Benedick in the Lyceum Production of Much Ado About Nothing(ca.1882).
Positioned hand in hand, Terry is dressed in a full length gold gown trimmed with an upstanding lace collar whilst Irving appears in a pale blue doublet and hose with a gold and white quilted cloak.
