Jug
2009 (made)
Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
The ‘articulated jug’ is one of Walter Keeler’s most characteristic products. He has been making variations on this form since 1983. The jug is made from two thrown sections, which Keeler slices, hits with a metal file, and eases into shape before joining them together. The top section is shaped to form the spout, and the bottom section is cut to set the jug at a jaunty angle. Finally, Keeler adds a handle that seems to balance on the rim.
