Physical description

David Cutting off the Head of Goliath; After Giulio Romano; Goliath lies prostate backwards over a rock with arms extended. David stands astride him about to cut off his head with a large curved edged sword. Goliath is in armour and his helmet lies on the floor to his right. David wears a tunic. In the background to the right other soldiers can be seen fleeing. David and Goliath are positioned in front of a rocky outcrop with a tree to the left; Engraving print on paper; Inscribed in the centre at the bottom, 'IO • MANTVANVS • SCVLPTOR. MDXXXX.'.
