Bob Gruen (1945) is a renowned photographer of rock groups, particularly important in his documenting the Punk and New Wave scenes of England and America in the mid 1970s. His photography career started with photographs of Bob Dylan at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965, and has included Ike and Tina Turner, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and Madonna.

This photograph of the Sex Pistols was taken by Gruen in 1977, when they were recording a show for Radio Luxembourg.
