Ceramics known as 'Punch'ong' were produced in Korea between 1400 and 1600, at the beginning of the Choson Dynasty. These stoneware ceramics were decorated with white slip, which was applied in different ways. This fragment of a bowl or dish features inlaid and brushed decoration characteristic of these wares.

Decoration on upper surface: one incomplete stamped flowerhead surrounded by five concentric inlaid lines and larger area of white decoration. Decoration on lower surface: part unglazed / undecorated, part featuring brushed decoration. Slightly rounded profile. |
