This design for a chalice and paten on a carved, black marble base if an elegant and contemporary design for church plate. it was the winning entry of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths' 'Young Silversmith Designer of the Year Award 2002'.

This award is a competition, organised by the Goldsmiths' Company since 1995 and is open to silversmithing students under the age of 30 from colleges in the United Kingdom. The 2002 brief was for a drinking vessel for religious purposes and the winner was Sidsel Dorph Jensen, who was at that point studying at the Royal College of Art. She executed the winning designs in the workshop of Wakeley and Wheeler. The chalice and paten were given by gift of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths' to the metalwork Department (M/28-2002 and M/29-2002).
