This engraving shows part of a famous candelabrum in the church of Saint Agnese, in Rome. The print has been cut at the bottom (possibly in order to fit it into a frame). The design is inspired by foliage. Ornament prints such as this were used by artisans as instructions in the decoration and creation of other objects.
