Plate with prominent vegetal motifs atop a background of tightly wound spirals, Turkey (Iznik), 1580-90.
Physical description
Plate with shallow rim, decorated with prominent vegetal motifs highlighted with blue and green atop a background of tightly wound black spirals. The decoration in the rim is an abstract version of the wave-and-rock motif.
