CASKET. Wood covered with boiled leather, now dark brown, with decoration tooled, surmounted by two iron hinges and other iron mounts.

Box of rectangular plan. Coved lid.

Two hinges, the upper members travelling forwards, as shaped rides, and terminating on the front of the lid in pointed openwork foliation's. Similar central ride terminating in lock hasp, filling on the front in shaped lock. Shaped loop-handle on top.

On top and front, panels of endive design against a stippled ground. On back and ends, formal designs, including panels of zigzag.
