Given by Mrs J D Sprange (RF 87/ 1909). Said to have been made by the donor's mother, Jessie Jenkins.
Production
If the attribution and date given by the donor are correct, the sampler has been worked in a very old fashioned style: the dark red thread and sparse appearance are more characteristic of the eighteenth century.
