This was one of the most popular dolls' houses made by Lines Bros and a model that was constantly in production, except for the war years, from the 1930s onwards. These houses were available with electric lighting and a repair service was also available.

Physical description

Cream painted wood on a green base, the house has two storeys with a double bay and garage on the right hand side. Eaves and top floor have faded black card 'Tudor' effect. The wall is mottled with green, red and yellow paint to represent creeper. The wooden front door is in the central section with door knocker, handle and letter box marked 'letters'. There is a single window beside the door and a narrow overhanging roof above. A step, painted orange and brown, leads up to the door. The windows are of white painted tin glazing bars with dark brown surrounds and all have a pair of patterned canvas curtains. The two bays are hinged and open outward revealing two rooms above and two rooms below. There is a central hallway and a staircase. The rooms are wallpapered throughout and fully electrified with two switches on the back of the house. There is a separate red stained wooden chimney which slots on the edge of the roof.
