Physical description

The toy has the head and legs of a young eagle and the back of a winged beetle. It is painted in black, brown and white and grey, the round eyes being in silver foil. The under beak and the legs are worked by strings fastened to a horizontal holding-rod.

Object history note

This object was exhibited at the Burma Pavilion of the British Empire Exhibition, Wembley, 1924. It was later given to the Museum by Mr A. Rodger, Commissioner for Burma. RF 1924/7743
