Oak cabinet in the form of a screen, with a centre and two wings. The centre is divided into six tiers which contain slips of wood (36) labelled with printed letters on paper. In the wings are six tiers (apiece) or pigeon-holes labelled with numerals and capitals, and containing slips of wood (250) of various shapes and sizes, similarly labelled.

The cabinet rests on a shelf supported at either end by shaped uprights, which are united by a shaped central stretcher and fixed into bars of oak, which have turned discs for feet at each end.
