Kaleidoscope consisting of a cylindrical cardboard tube, the central part of which is covered with paper printed with a design of red and blue flowers on a stone-coloured background. The edge has bands of floral paper of a different design. The ends are painted black. One end has a small hole for viewing, the other is glass, made opaque by a layer of transluscent paper, with a compartment holding pieces of coloured glass which form the pattern when the kaleidoscope is turned.

Acquired by the Museum in 1986, the gift of Mr. Arthur Moyse [84/1272]. On entry to the Museum its condition was noted as 'fairly good but dirty'.
