Gallery label
This (almost) 300-year-old dress might have been difficult for its wealthy wearer to put on without some help. It originally had complicated fastenings and was worn with lots of layers underneath. [Young V&A, Imagine Gallery short object label] (2023)

Made from Spitalfields silk. The dress is mounted with reproduction underskirt of pink silk made by Conservation.
