Physical description

Pair of shoes for a child, made of plaited straw and catgut, lined with red silk. The shoes are heel-less with rounded square toes, and are in a slip-on style with no fastenings or adjustment. They are made in a striped openwork pattern, each with a rosette on the vamp.
