Taken from the book Receuil Elèmentaire d’Architecture, this is an example of using different architectural orders of different sizes on the same building. Here a giant order of pilasters goes up the whole height of the façade. A minor order of Tuscan columns and pilasters denote the entrance to the vestibule and the main floor, or piano nobile, of the house.
