This bear was produced in the late 19th Century, between 1875 and 1900. It was believed to have been played with by the donors mother, who was born in 1876.
The bear is made of brown velvet and has been stuffed with sawdust. It is missing both of its eyes and one ear.

Physical description

The bear is made from brown velvet stuffed with sawdust. It represents a brown bear on all fours. Its eyes are missing, as is one ear. It has a mouth embroidered with red thread.
