Teabowl or small bowl of standard Chinese shape, the exterior with pale brown 'Batavian' glaze enamelled in opaque white, iron red and green with stylised flowers and an insect; the interior rim painted in underglaze blue with hatched band, and the interior enamelled in iron red, green and blue with a central floral motif encircled in red, and with a band of stylised flowers and cockerels; marked inside foot with a hatched triangle within two concentric circles in underglaze blue; circular paper label printed 'BMW' in monogram and 'Bernard Watney Collection'.
