The figure stands straight, with both hands hanging down, with a waist-length plait behind. Ffigures, such as this, were typically made with a male figure (possibly Krishna) in a similar pose and wearing a cap. Her lower garment is decorated with a pattern of punched circles with flowers of simlar circles ornamenting the frieze within the base.

Object history
Bought from the William Tayler collection. The figure was recorded as one of six in the acquisition register of 1874 as representing 'Parvati or Devi, wife of Siva in a standing posture'.
