Artist/Maker
Place of origin

A set of boxed Sindy furniture for the living room, comprising an armchair, settee and chest of drawers; made of moulded white plastic and vinyl.

The chest of drawers is in the style of late 19th century French furniture, with two drawers, a curved front and gold colour on the drawer handles and furniture detailing. There are plastic accessories with the chest of drawers: two white flowers in a blue vase; a yellow lidded circular container; a white comb; a white hairbrush; two small cylindrical cosmetic bottles with black stoppers, one white one brown and a white hand-held mirror with a circle of foil as the mirror.

The cardboard box containing the chest of drawers is printed pink with yellow edging and features a photograph of Sindy sitting on a stool in front of her chest of drawers, removing a yellow item of clothing from the top drawer. The box is printed with the 'Sindy' logo, the words 'Chest of Drawers' in white and a generic description of Sindy's scenes on the base of the box, with the text translated into different languages on the box sides.
