TitleKemp Welch Bros (assigned by artist)
Brief description
Wooden model of a provisions shop made in England about 1870
Object history
The shop was made for the donor's two uncles and it is probable that the family name was Kemp Welch, the brothers referring to the two boys it was made for.
S E Kemp-Welch was an architect who lived in Bournemouth and may have been the father of the equine artist Lucy Kemp-Welch which would make the original owners of this shop her brothers
