Boxed set with Barbie in Indian costume, 1998
Object history
The doll made in India for the Indian market by a Mattel subsidiary is a standard open mouth version. It came boxed with the Barbie doll in a Special Edition box.

The box is one of those issued with a 'Christmas Barbie' edition and the photograph bears no relation to the content which actually states one toy only. The box is printed with the Mattel Toys (India) Ltd but does not have the LEO MATTEL trademark.
