Costume for a Huntsman in Petipa's ballet The Sleeping Princess designed by Leon Bakst, Diaghilev Ballet, 1921. Long-skirted 18th century style coat of bottle green velvet decorated with vertical bands of gold and silver brocade and wavy gold brocade ribbon. The cuffs are magenta velvet bordered with gold and silver brocade and wavy gold brocade ribbon. Attached beneath is a false waistcoat of sky-blue silk barred with silver braid.
