Place of origin |
This wig was worn by the character of Swanilda in the 1967 Ballet For All production of Coppélia. The wig has been re-lined and re-fronted at some point, suggesting that this is a pre-war wig repaired and reused for the 1967 production. Most wigs for the stage are made from human or animal hair knotted into a net or lace cap. These materials are flexible and light to wear under the hot stage lights.
