DRESS WORN BY SANDIE SHAW IN THE EUROVISION SONG CONTEST
1967
Known as the ‘barefoot pop princess’, singer Sandie Shaw was wearing this mini dress when she became the UK’s first Eurovision winner with ‘Puppet on a String’. The song gave her a third UK No. 1 single, which was a record for British female singers at the time. Her style was so popular that she launched her own fashion label a year later.
