'Ball box', used in stage conjuring tricks.

This trick apparatus, known as a 'ball box', consists of a wooden cup with a lid. The cup contains a ball. The magician removes the ball and replaces the lid, and then makes the ball vanish. When the lid of the cup is removed again, the ball has magically reappeared inside.
