Souvenir paper fan, produced by the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, for a gala evening in celebration of Britain's entry into the European Community, 3 January 1973. Enthoven collection.
Physical description
Souvenir paper fan, with burgundy coloured velvet covers on guards and a gold-coloured plastic Royal Coat of Arms attached to one guard. White tassel. The fan opens out to give, on one side, the title of the evening, 'Fanfare', lists of the artists and the production credits, printed in black on white, with an upper border of European Community flags; on the reverse, the programme of the evening, printed in white on purple.
