Purchased by Caspar Purdon Clarke in Dhaka. 1883 Register Entry: 'DRESS PIECE. White muslin. Loom-embroidered in white cotton with conventional floral patterns in diagonal stripes. At one end is a narrow band of flat silver-gilt wire and red thread. Dacca. 19th cent. L. 16 ft. 8 in., W. 3 ft. Bought, £2 14s. 1688-1883 (IS)'.
