Usherette's dress, made for the premiere of the film, A Hard Day's Night, London Pavilion, 1964. Short cotton shift dress with full length white nylon sleeves, the dress printed in turquoise and white with, at back and front, horizontal stripes at shoulder and hem and, between, a white horizontal panel printed with turquoise ovals holding portraits of the Beatles with printed autographs beneath, and a lower turquoise panel, printed with the words, 'The Beatles', and a line of musical notation with the lyric 'I wanna hold your hand' above.
