Count Duckula is the eponymous hero of a TV cartoon series created by the British studio Cosgrove Hall. He is a vegetarian vampire and was originally a villainous character in another Cosgrove Hall series, the popular DangerMouse. Count Duckula first aired in 1988 and is a parody of the Dracula story. It is set in Transylvania where Duckula lives in a spooky castle with his butler Igor and his nanny. Almost all of the characters in the show are anthropomorphic birds. Count Duckula became popular with both children and adults and still has a following.

| Physical description | Soft toy anthropomorphic duck figure whose upper body is made to look like it is wearing a grey jacket with white dickie and cuffs, and a red bow tie. The head, lower body and hands are lime green and the legs and beak are yellow. The inside of the beak is red and the figure wears a purple lined black cloak. The hair is black and wild and the eyes are large white plastic ones with black pupils and grey outside edges. There is a printed label attached to the proper left side of the body and a black cord attached to the top of the head with a plastic sucker at the end. |
