This pen and ink portrait on paper by Laura Knight shows Stanislaw Idzikowski (1894-1977) in his dressing room at the Coliseum Theatre, making up during the Idzikowski Company season, September 1924.

Though Idzikowski danced with the Ballets Russes between 1914 and 1929 he left the company for a brief period in 1924 to dance with Lopokova at the Coliseum and with Comte de Beaumont's ‘Soirées de Paris’, then rejoined Diaghilev (1925-9).
