Treballadors! Tots contra el feixisme

Poster
ca. 1937 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This Catalan poster calls for workers to unite against the fascist Nationalist regime in Spain. It would have been produced during the Spanish Civil War which raged from 1936-1939. The initials UGT stand for Union General de Trabajadores, a Socialist trades organisation. The designer of this poster marked it with his initial, 'R.' and may well have been a member of SDP, a syndicate of professional designers to which many pro-Republican graphic designers belonged.
